The issues opportunities I’m passionate about:

As I've walked our neighborhoods and talked with many of you, I've learned what matters most to Rogers residents.

Based on these conversations, I've focused my campaign on four key issues that I believe are crucial for our city's future.

1

Affordable Housing

With average rents in Rogers exceeding $1,100 per month, many of our residents, especially young families and seniors, struggle to find affordable housing options.

My Approach

  • Partner with local organizations to increase affordable housing options

  • Explore zoning changes to allow for more diverse housing types

  • Implement first-time homebuyer assistance programs

  • Support the renovation and preservation of existing affordable housing stock

Why it Matters

As someone who faced housing challenges as a teen mom, I understand how crucial affordable housing is for building a diverse, vibrant community where everyone can put down roots. Vote for me and I will work for housing we all can afford.

2

Sidewalks, Trails, and Accessibility

Many areas in Rogers, especially in the older parts of Ward 4, lack safe, accessible sidewalks. Additionally, some of our new developments and downtown areas need improvements to be truly accessible for all residents.

My Approach

  • Advocate for a comprehensive sidewalk expansion and improvement plan

  • Ensure all new and existing sidewalks are ADA compliant

  • Work on improving accessibility in downtown Rogers, including better parking options for those with mobility challenges

  • Continue supporting trail development while ensuring it doesn't negatively impact traffic or resident privacy

Why it Matters

Safe, accessible sidewalks and trails don't just improve our quality of life - they make our city more inclusive and connected. I’ll work for an overall plan to provide safe sidewalks for everyone.

3

Recycling and Sustainability

Our city events and many local businesses lack convenient recycling options, leading to unnecessary waste.

My Approach

  • Introduce color-coded, informative recycling bins at city events and in public spaces

  • Implement an opt-in business recycling program

  • Offer incentives for businesses that meet recycling targets

  • Educate business owners and residents on best recycling practices

Why it Matters

As someone who leads regeneration initiatives in my professional life, I know that sustainable practices are good for both our environment and our economy. I’ll work with local businesses to find solutions for our community.

4

Tornado Preparedness

Recent tornado events have highlighted the need for better preparedness and clearer communication during emergencies.

My Approach

  • Explore the creation of public tornado shelters

  • Advocate for tax incentives for homeowners who build personal tornado shelters

  • Improve digital communication of emergency resources and procedures

  • Work on strategies to make our utility infrastructure more resilient

Why it Matters

Living in Tornado Alley means we need to be proactive about safety. Clear plans and good infrastructure can save lives. I’ll work to make sure we’re more prepared the next time a tornado strikes Rogers.

Let's work together to build the Rogers we all dream of!

These issues evolved through my conversations with you, the residents of Rogers. I'm committed to continuing this dialogue and adjusting my priorities based on community needs. While I can't promise to solve every problem overnight, I can promise to be your voice on the Council, to listen to your concerns, and to work tirelessly to make Rogers an even better place to call home.
