Hey there, Rogers!

I'm Cyndall Hill, and I'm running to represent Ward 4 on our City Council. I'd love to share a bit about who I am and why I'm passionate about serving our community.

My Rogers Story

While I've called Northwest Arkansas home for most of my life, my family and I moved to Rogers in 2020. In this short time, I've fallen in love with our city and have become deeply invested in its future. As a mom of three, including two young girls still at home, I see Rogers through the eyes of both a parent and a professional. I want to ensure that our city remains a place where families can thrive and where opportunities are accessible to all.

My Professional Journey

Currently, I work as a Merchant at Sam's Club. My path here wasn't straightforward. After graduating from the U of A with my Master of Accountancy (MAcc), I started my career working in income tax accounting at Walmart. However, inspired by my grandparents' entrepreneurial spirit (they owned local businesses right here in Rogers!), I realized my true passion lay in merchandising. I set a five-year plan to transition into a merchant role, and I'm proud to say I achieved that goal.

This experience taught me the value of strategic planning, adaptability, and the importance of understanding community needs - skills I believe will serve me well on the City Council.

Getting Involved in Our Community

My journey into local politics began with canvassing for ballot initiatives. As I walked our neighborhoods and talked with my fellow Rogers residents, I realized two things: first, that I had a lot to learn about our community's diverse needs, and second, that I wanted to do more to address those needs.

These conversations opened my eyes to issues I hadn't considered before, like the need for accessibility downtown. They also reinforced my concerns about affordable housing and sustainable practices in our city and the importance of tornado preparedness.

Why I'm Running

I'm running for City Council because I believe in the power of community engagement and responsive local government. As a teen mom who worked my way through college, I understand the challenges many families face. I want to be a voice for those who feel unheard and work towards solutions that benefit all of Rogers.

My husband Nathan, a utility company employee and Combat Veteran, and our kids are my biggest supporters in this journey. Together, we're committed to making Rogers an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

I may be new to politics, but I'm not new to hard work, creative problem-solving, or community service. I promise to bring these qualities, along with a fresh perspective and an open ear, to the City Council.

Let's build a better Rogers together!
